Danielle Orlando( 18 and Over)

"I recently travelled to Uganda, Africa to a small village called Wakiso. Where I volunteered a Wakiso Children's School of Hope. The orphanage is home to approximately 240 children aged between 1-18. The orphanage solely depends on the arrival of new volunteers each month to help with the day to day duties that keep the orphanage operating. I didn't realise how big an impact this trip would have on me as a person nor did I realise just how little it takes to make a child's day. The little boy centre in the photograph (Alpha) had such a huge impact on me that I've decided to fundraise for the orphanage. I believe this photo captures the sheer join the children of Wakiso have just from something as insignificant as a pile of soil.
